EBC was Invited to attend the 2017 Guangzhou Annual Investment Conference China

As part of the 2017 Guangzhou Annual Investment Conference China, “Guangzhou towards Globalization- Enterprise Dialogue” was held on the 28th of March in Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center. This activity was hosted by Guangzhou Municipal Peoples Government, and was co-organized by the Guangzhou Municipal Commission of Commerce and the Guangzhou International Investment Promotion Center. More than 150 representatives and leaders from around 30 global 500 Fortune companies like General Electric, Microsoft, Wal-Mart participated in this conference. 

At the beginning, the famous Italian host Mattia Romeo warmly welcomed the attendees. Vice Mayor of Guangzhou Mr. Cai Chaolin made a short introduction about the regional superiority and investment advantages of Guangzhou, and governmental Policies for Inviting Outside Investment. Guangzhou is devoted to develop its airports, harbors and other world-class infrastructures, aiming to become a China’s Central City and achieve industry transformation, Guangzhou is trying to upgrade its Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and Biomedicine and other high-end industries. Subsequently, the head of Guangzhou Municipal Commerce Commission pointed out that in the era of rapid globalization, Guangzhou will deepen its strategic cooperation with global enterprises. By encouraging technological and scientific exchanges, Guangzhou attempts to improve its participation and influence in global economic and social affairs.

After the speech of two prominent leaders, the discussion section begins. The first issue under discussion is “How to Foster the International Business Environment.” Two governmental leaders, one “Invest Guangzhou” international expert, and two representatives from global 500 Fortune companies participated in the dialogue. The economic development is closely related to friendly entrepreneurial atmosphere and business environment. Guangzhou’s new focus on forging friendly business environment will have a positive influence on its future economic development. The second topic is about “Guangzhou’s Economic Road towards Globalization.” Three enterprise representatives, and two leaders from global 500 Fortune companies led the discussion. As Guangzhou promotes the principles of reformation, openness, creativity, and economic development, local enterprises have greatly improved their company awareness towards international operation. 

Mr. Clemens Hanser and Mr. Mu Ge, representatives from European Buyers Council, were invited to attend this conference as international consultants for “Invest Guangzhou.” European Buyers Council is reducing barriers and building bridges for Chinese suppliers to increase their business to European buyers, for Mergers & Acquisitions to find the perfect partner and for the transfer of technology & knowledge.
