CEO of EBC Andreas Schwegler attended the meeting held by German Chamber with former chancellor Gerhard Schröder

7. November Andreas Schwegler CEO of European Buyers Council，was invited to attend the meeting held by the German Chamber. Most of the German political and business elites in China gathered at this meeting in Grand Hyatt Hotel Guangzhou to discuss the current situation and challenges in Europe and China. Gerhard Schröder, the former chancellor of Germany, and Stefan Rosenbohm, president of the German Chamber of Commerce -South & West China was also invited as Speaker.

After a brief welcoming address delivered by Mr. Stefan Rosenbohm and GM of the Hamanu (Shenzhen) Trade Co. Ltd, Mr. Gerhard Schröder made a speech about the current situation in Europe and China, including topics about the economy and politics. Meanwhile, he talked about the challenges that Europe and Germany confronted such as Brexit. Another important topic was about the situation of the Germany companies in China. Mr. Schröder concerned kindly about the business development of those companies and hoped them maintain a good relationship with the local governments and enterprises in China so as to become a bridge to promote the communication between China and Germany.

During this meeting Andreas Schwegler, the CEO of EBC also met the former chancellor. Mr. Schwegler made a basic introduction of EBC and its business network in China. Mr. Schröder appreciated all the achievements that EBC has gained in the past 30 years, especially the business success in China. 

In the end of this meeting Mr. Gerhard Schröder wished EBC a brighter outlook in the future.
